UX/UI Website Re-Design: Trippy Buck Coffee

The purpose of this project was to find a website of a business of your choice and re-design two landing pages in order to improve Search Engine Optimization, conversion rates, and usability.

I decided to re-design Trippy Buck Coffee, a local farm to cup coffee truck here in Austin, Texas. In order to improve the UX/UI of the website, I redesigned the “Home” page and the “Menu” page of their website.

Re-designing the Home Page was my main priority. In my opinion the home page is the most important page because it is the first introduction each potential customer will have to your business.

One of the first things I decided to address was the structure of the home page, there was a unique anecdote about the farm-to-cup coffee backstory behind the company but it is hard to read with the choice of text color and the white background. I added more information (from the farm website) and a learn more button underneath that directly links to the farm's office website. I also added a picture of coffee to the front page. It was hard to realize it is a coffee company without it.

The second page I re-designed was the Menu Page. I decided to change the look of the menu to add more of an emphasis the coffee images to make their products more clear. I removed the $ signs from the prices because research shows that removing the dollar sign from an amount on a menu disassociates the amount from money. As a result this makes customers more likely to spend more.
